omfg, i just realized something, and i know exactly what you mean by valve opening and closing.... the person i bought this off of, is a ****in moron...

now i realized where the SPRING is spose to go, its not where i was putting it.... omg.. the person that sold me the bov did NOT even have a ****in spring in the back of the valve.... which didnt push it back to close.. i have no clue how this thing managed to work before...

but ima try this again, ill let you know what happened...

    rofl, ninja move!
yea i know how to get to my threads

And i just realized the person i bought the bov from didnt even have a SPRING behind the valve, so the valve just kinda SAT in a position, there was nothing pushing it back to close LOL! omg.

Now i finally put the green 5-15psi spring in the back and gonna go for a drive, bbiab

    wish me luck lol

    good find.

I didn't mean for that 'good job mods' comment to be smartass. After looking back at my post I was like, oops that came out wrong.

Nah its cool. The car drove nice at first, and the bov poped like it was heaven. But then 1 min later, seemed like air was leaking thru (i think its because i cut the spring short) The wrong spring. The one that i thought it was the valve spring, but it wasnt.

So air leaks thru, and car start going banana's, shutting down pretty much, and dropping to 0 rpm's, check light started flashing then it stopped, but car couldnt perform at all, so i parked her, and im back at the bov ;D

I think i need a new spring (not the valve one) the other one, thats for the push thingy from the bottom lol =)

    Hks Blowoff

I have put in a Super SQV HKS Blow off in my 2003 Version 8 WRX

When i 1st installed the sounds was at High Pitch

However, after using for about 1 mth, the sound changes to very soft.

Does anyone experience this and know how to solve?

BTW, the Blow off is not adjustable.

prepare to take a lot of flame for that. bov is not the best thing to get for your sti or any wrx. they will cause you to run extremely rich, idle will be crap, and you WILL get hestitation between shifts. Save you money and get an AP or up/downpipe.

Did you see the big BOV thread? I suspect this thread is going to be appended there anyway, so you may as well look at the sticky thread instead.
