Can you get your stock ecu reflashed to compensate for the rich condition?

I've seen some brand that claim there BOV is adjustable (but i can't remember which ones) couldn't you run one of these like a stock BOV but if you wanted a little noise turn it to vent a little or if you wanted fire balls coming out of your exhaust vent 100%? It would be nice if someone could have a list of BOV and there adventage and disadvantages if they are adjustable or not adjustable.

    Heres one i found on gruppe-s.com http://www.gruppe-s.com/Subaru/subeng/gfb_bov.htm

why anyone would want a BOV when they can have one of These for a fraction of the price is beyond me.
They're both noise makers, just one costs 5% of the other.

well if your looking for the chirp sound go fast bits makes that one bov with the whistle trumpet that sounds like the hks and i believe you can run it with one of their 50/50's. I had a turboxs rfl on my 02 wrx and it worked flawlessly in texas but when i drove to colorado and the altitude changed it wouldnt work. I took out all the washers and it still wouldnt vent, im guessing thats bad for the car haha. Everyone says it runs like crap but you just have to get use to driving with it, which i dont think most give it a chance, and the difference will be pretty little to even tell. But you will notice though when you let off abruptly the car will basically shut down like you threw the brakes on.

    BOV, Bypass question

I just got an 05 STI.... Its got a stock turbo..

I'm liking the sound of those BOV on the streets, and I am interested in buying one. I've read alot of reviews..mostly saying they are bad for the engine..blah blah..it goes on.

Does anyone know of a BOV that sounds good..and doesnt have a negative effect on the engine?...What about a bypass valve..I heard those are better..but I am not sure..Do bypass valves make the sounds like the BOV?...

sorry..I am a noob here...first turbocharged car for me...

You'll have to excuse my friends, they're a little slow...and cranky and they cut absolutely no one any slack for anything that they don't agree with.
As for the BOV question. Most people don't get them on Subaru's if you're still running stock turbo with stock boost levels. The stock BOV (it's actually a bypass valve BPV) is good untill about 20psi. If you have anymore questions, they are some great stickies and there is always the magic "Search" feature at the top of the screen. However, if you really want to ask a question just go ahead and post it. There are a lot of good people on here and someone will probably answer your question, just not the first two guys that posted on this thread.
