Do what most of the people say... leave it stock

By the way, I was all into buying an HKS bov once I realized that for the sound, you lose too much gas

So I'm leaving mine stock. Get an uppipe it will give you MORE power and you can hear your stock bov more

    Lightbulb Remove the Outer shell

I ran into the same problem...

Mine came with the universal round adapter plate...not the WRX one...I sourced the WRX adapter flange and then sat there for about a minute wondering how I would take the C-clip off...because the pliers I had (with multiple adapters) could not reach the ring...

So, what I did was remove the outer shell of the HKS SSQV...If you look at the front of the bov, you can see about 8 hex screws...4 are holding on the outer shell...find out which one comes out and skip every other one...this is the same way you change the different insersts (silver, gold, purple, plumb-back)...once you have the outer shell off, you can position the bov and easily take off the c-ring...

Need Opinions Please...Forge BOV or TurboXS-RFL

i'm get'n a BOV for sure, and if it messes up my car i will just take it off....my only problem is i CAN not decide wether to get the forge or the turboxs-rfl? which one is the safest/easiest....i know they both sound pretty good so i just want to know which one is easiest to maintain or install and which one has the least amount of problems. thanks guys! and by the way, i'm already cobb stage 2 catless all the way, and running 16.5 psi in 3rd gear...hitting great boost. If you want to kill me for posting ANOTHER BOV thread...i totally understand...because i want to kill myself also....but I'm just going to buy one...see what happens...and sell it if it's sucks. You never know unless you try it.

where did you hear it loses 5hp?

i bought a used RFL and i noticed it changes the way you drive a little. never had any problems with it, just made the car feel different when you shift i guess for me. only reason i still have it on right now is because i shoot some fireballs with it. plus i dont drive much.
