5 easy steps (everybody else, take notes)

    1. Remove RFL Blow Off Valve
    2. Throw in the East River
    3. Re-attach stock Blow Off Valve
    4. Slap yourself in the face
    5. Enjoy functional car parts!

Profit and ???? work in there somewhere, but I'm too lazy to make the list any longer.

ive got the rfl and i get fluttering from time to time, i guess as you have the bov youll know how to reduce the fluttering by the way you release the gas. Also if you have an intake youll be hearing fluttering as well and if you dont have one you can have mine.

this is true.... my type s will flutter if like second gear i slam the gas down real fast and before it gets to excel more than 1000 rpm i let go and it flutters... it just depends on how you drive it

Does it have to be the East River? Can he use a river or body of water of his own choosing?

I had fluttering but i swapped in a new bov gasket and its kinda gone, i think my fluttering was due to the fact that i was leaking out between the bov and the intercooler.

    Blow off valve question

I am looking to get a new 2005 wrx and i was wondering if i were to get a blow off valve through subaru and let them install it would the still keep my warranty?

-also, i heard that when a blow off valve is installed in wrx's it decreases performance cause the engine needs to stay warm or hot so that the AWD system can function better, but the blow offf valve redirects the hot air out.

    - i personally think this is wrong, but this is what i heard and i want to find out if it is true.

    thanks

Welcome to the club. Introduce yourself here if you'd like. And while you are there read the stickies.

The WRX BOV is good for up to ~20 psi. Spend the $ on something worthwhile.

Unless you are completely obsessed with the BOV sound its a waste of money.
