like i said, never had the time to get a dyno nor location.
as far as the BOVs, i have the Greddy Type-S and the HKS. iw ould say the HKS with the purple fin is the better of the two.

different part #'s but will fit interchangably. I remember reading way back sometime that there was an advantage to the STi bpv- holds more boost? Can't remember.

Are there any ill effects from running a BOV with no recirculation?![]()
If you crank the boost past 19psi on that Stage IV, then just go get an aftermarket recirculating valve and make it fit. I use an TXS H34 recirculating valve; you can use it up to 25psi and no idle problems. No excuse to run atmospheric except for being obsessed w/the noise.

I just plumbed my back into the cabin and mounted it on my dashboard so I can really hear teh PPPPSSSSSSHHHHHTTTT!!!! It drives teh wimminz wild![]()
You can actually plug the recirc hose right into a secret slot in the back of the stock headunit, and it will actually play through your speakers. I have mine hooked up to a 15 inch subwoofer; everytime I shift the car actually jumps from the thump. I dropped 2/10's of a second in the 1/4 from the jump (no friction w/the ground = unlimited speed)Originally Posted by Trainrex

I've been using an rfl for a while. It doesn't sputter between shifts. If you are using an atmospheric bov and it sputters between shifts you don't have it sprung hard enough. I run 19-20 psi daily on an alky injected vf39 setup.
i use a PIT atmospheric on my 04 wrx i've noticed no ill effects during idle or between shifts it was my first mod mainly for the sound (my first turbo car) since Ive added a 5zigen mircale fireball exhaust, aem cold air intake, kartboy ss, cusco stb, 18,000 hard miles later still all good. but future plans for APS recirculating and all the mods my money can buy.
Is it really quiet? How loud is it compared to a stock BPV?Originally Posted by WMAWRX
