    I'm not too knowledgable on BOV washers and such, but I have to ask...are you really running 20 psi on the stock turbo?

    I have ther rfl too i was running about 17 psi and about a month after i installed it it started leaking hope u have better luck with it then i did...

    your stock turbo is a vf22? damn

    i know it says stage 2 im lazy lol
    04 black sti, gold rota torque, turbo xs tbe, turbo xs rfl bov, utec

    someone trade their rfl axleback for my regular turbo xs magnaflow!!!!!

    yea...im wondering, who much psi are you pushing? the stock '02 can only handle 16psi without messing something up pretty bad. and theres now point to a BOV unless you're doing 20+. the air simply isnt recirculating enough causing your car to sputter, your turbo to over heat, and eventually your up-pipe to just melt. am i wrong on this? if i am then damn...i really want a BOV, but those are the reasons why im not getting one just yet

    you have a vf22? That would explain running high boost. You probably should update that sig

    alright im kinda confused here. im not on the stock turbo sorry for the misunderstanding. 16 psi is about the max a stock turbo can produce, its not the max the engine can handle. your right about there being no point in a bov with the stock turbo, but some say that as early as 18psi the stock valve starts leaking or malfunctioning. im running around 18-20 and i just want to be sure so i got the aftermarket bov.

    having a bov on the stock turbo is not a crime, it is just that they are a few hundred dollars and they dont really do much but make noise (which i love), so alot of people here say its stupid to pay all that money when you dont need one. if you want one then buy it, you only live once

    Stock BOV

    I took off my aftermarket BOV and just put on a stock BOV on my WRX. Is it normal to hear the BOV pssst after letting off the gas in low RPM's?

    I would say with a short ram intake you would be able to hear the stock BOV. Just a hunch but did you re connect the recirculating hose (PITA hose to get on that leads to the intake before the turbo)?
