What other mods are you running?

dude dont get an bov! get an intake, preferably a cheap one from ebay since there all the same, i mean it just takes air into the engine right? you shouldnt worry about it.

after you get a nice cheap 50 dollar intake system you stock bov will be CRAZY LOUD. next, you will want to run more boost. to do this, simply take the small black hose off the top of the turbo, its easy to find. this is something that limits boost to 12.6 on the stock wrx. taking that hose off will allow that extra air to enter through the tube and boost you up to 18 psi safely. the hot air that that nozzle will pull in it much much much denser and allows more boost..

have fun and most of all mod SAFELY. follow those 2 tips and you will be on your way to nice SAFE fast car! enjoy

    Read here man

the HKS is a VERY NICE BOV but if youre stock you dont really **need** it. its definately my choice if/when i ever NEED one key word is NEED.

that money could buy you an uppipe which will give you such a noticeable change in performance vs a BOV which makes you just sound faster. plus youll have money leftover to save for the downpipe.

    hope this helps

    good luck!

by the way, this will help you as you surf the site. most of us here are into easy mods for big safe gains! you will hear us refer to our vehicles as being stage 1 thru 4

    stages:

    1. intake, well all get the polished one from ebay i cant remember what its called.

    2. up the boost by removing that damn restrictor tube they put on

    3. adding a bov to allow the ecu to adjust to the stronger bov and run more boost safely without leak!!!

    4. putting an exhaust to free up the other part of the engine.

no need for thanks its what im here for

A new downpipe and uppipe should be your first mods. Save the Intake and Blow Off Valve until later down the line.

seriously takes like, what, 5 min. to take the stocker off and put an aftermarket one on?

Glad you're still liking it, though. I have a Forge sitting in my garage that a friend loaned to me and I go back and forth between whether I should use it or just give it back. Ran it for like a week when I first got it and I did notice a slightly "choppier" acceleration. Dunno. Sounded cool tho
