My suggestion is to contact Dan (a.k.a. GOD) at godspeedinc.com to answer your question. He sells tial bov and I know he has done some work with them on the scoobies. I would say he is a good place to start asking.

not happy w/ MBC.. here are my thoughts

well i built my own MBC for $11.42 from the local hardware and boy did it make my car a hell of a lot faster but!! it's almost a pain in the a$$ to drive, either you're on it or not, there's no inbetween, partial throttle full boost is always a prob. (even when going up hills with the cruise control on) i had it set to run right at 14.5-15 psi but it was still spiking up to 17 or so, when i'm going over 85mph and let of the gas just a hair my BOV trys to release presure, the BOV is downright violent (txs rfl) just doesn't sound like it could be healthy for my car, someone tell me it's fine and to put it back on cause that thing is crazy fast in 1st and 2nd gear

ps glad i didn't pay $135 for one to find out this is how they act... that is if this is how they all are

I never had any spiking or and of the problems your talking about (or any problems, really) when I had my TurboXS MBC. It worked wonderfully, and I would recommend it to anyone.

I experienced alot of PTFB with my boost controller. I was very unhappy with it. I had the same experience. Either full throttle or no throttle to avoid it. It is worse when you live in an area with hills because of the extra load needed to climb them. I would assume people in flat regions would have much less problems.

Yeah, my MBC that I bought off of ebay worked pretty good. No spiking and no PTFB. But I don't have to deal with it anymore...I bought Zoophagy's UTEC a while back

I was using a homemade MBC as well.... It had a few of problems you did, just not to that extent. I would however, get a spiking of a couple PSI and made the car feel like it wasnt running quite as smooth. I took it off for fear of it damaging something. your right though, it drastically helps out first and ESPECIALLY second gear. I cant afford EM, or an EBC, so I think I am going to try a well made MBC such as TXS and see how that works.

if you have the RFL, add more washer to stiffen the spring. i had the same problem at one point and i experimented with more/less washer and i fixed it using more washer.

i don't have any boost spike using an MBC.
