This is a discussion on "The BIG BOV thread" (Where all bov question threads get merged) within the Engine Modifications forums, part of the Tech & Modifying & General Repairs category; you shouldn't have to reposition your i/c. i have an hks ssqv and it sits on top of the intake ...
you shouldn't have to reposition your i/c. i have an hks ssqv and it sits on top of the intake manifold. but i also plugged the bypass value up it came with the bov.

does anybody have a .wav of this bov? I am trying to find one that sounds like a silent fart. Just a whoosh of air no whistle. Any help?
I can get you a .wav of a silent fart, shouldn't be too hard to work out.Originally posted by MrDoctor

you should not have to reposition the intercooler to but a BOV on... that just doesnt seem right![]()

Although I wouldn't describe it that way, the Worxtuning BOV is just a whoosh of air with no whistle. Not loud and not startling, even when adjusted for full atmospheric blow off and set for maximum sound.Originally posted by MrDoctor

I've tried it at all of it's settings (I believe there are 6 recirc settings and 8 "loudness" settings) and have had no problems with it at all. At full atmospheric vent, I did notice some muffled backfiring but nothing to really concern yourself with. I doubt it was the BOV though, likely just some poor gas.
I'd buy it, and did...with the wrinkle red finish.

Mine fits just fine. You might have to unbolt one of the AC lines there (I think it's an AC line) and slide the flange under it, but otherwise it'll fit.
You'll definitely want a clip on that recirc line...you don't want that plug popping off and water getting into your intake system.

i gues ill unbolt one of the vacume lines and try to reinstall it again once it stops raining here... as for the clip situation... the clip that was origionally on the car was PITA to take off... and i do not want to go through the PITA clip again.. so what clip is the best to buy now![]()
and also is using my bpv for now while the hose is plugged harming my car... it seems to have thrown off a cell..![]()

Make sure you get that CEL checked. No one will know how to diagnose what would be causing it until we know exactly what code it's throwing.
Yeah the stock clip sucks. I replaced mine with one of those o-rings with the screw on them, similar to what clips the intercooler hoses to the intercooler. I don't remember what they're called, but I got mine from Lowe's hardware and garden.
