i have it and i love it... holds boost and releases with a nice high pitch sound..

if you purchase the kit you can have the return line back to the intake or just vent it 100%

02 Stock WRX can i put a BOV?

I have an 02 rex. I want a BOV, can I install one on a stock rex without probs? I love the sounds that these BOVs make since back in the day when I had my 94 cobra and my buddy with his Twin turbo supra and the way his BOV sounded.

If I can do it, which one should I buy thats cost effective. Also, how hard is it to install for a novice?

Another question, can I put in a boost controller without any problems?

There are two ways to go about this:
    A quick search
    A detailed search
The quick search will give you quick answers, and you'll find them quite economical (I'll leave it at that).
The long search is really worth doing though, you'll have hours and hours of fantastic reading on many threads on these fora. Have fun and welcome!

    noob BOV question

i've searched and can't find any answers to a noob question i had. I'm looking for a BOV i've heard but dont know what brand it is. This type makes a whistleing noise when releasing pressure. Can any of u shed a little light on the subject for me? I dont really want another one like the Blitz I have on my DSM, (just the regular PSSST sound) Again, sorry for the stupid noob question

Why not start with spending money on stuff that might make it a better car? I know.. your car, your money.... but I'm curious why? The two WRX's I've run into on the road with BOV's were still riding on stock wheels and appeared to be all stock except for the cute little noisemaker under the hood.

Hey guys I know people have asked this question before and a simple search could have avoided it but dont jump on the guy and give him the wrong impression of this forum. We are not like other places, we respect eachother here and try to be respectful and courteous. Im sure most of us did this when they were a n3wb. Welcome aboard and next time just search before you ask.

I'm sorry for all the b*tchy replys you got, i hope you aren't turned away from this site, i think it's the best WRX forum out there.

As far as the BOV, go ahead and put it on if you like the sound, i had one since day one and just sold it to my friend with an evo, now i miss it. It's really easy to put on, if you get the WRX adapter, it bolts on with 2 bolts.

The mbc is just as easy and makes a huge power gain, i went 13.55 with a mbc.

Welcome to the club, it's a great place.
