I recently purchased a Forge 100% BOV and I am curious as to what spring some of you use in your setups. I received a red, green, two blues (?). I think I was supposed to get a yellow and black one. Also, what did you lubricate the inside with. My mods right now are uppipe, downpipe (catless), catback, and MBC @ 15-15.5psi.
Any help is appreciated.![]()
it might be an up-pipe leak. I have the same problem.
I thought uppipe leaks were louder, but I suppose it could be a very slight one even with my flex uppipe.Originally posted by ilivas

i have a flex pipe too
I just hope it isn't that one by the manifold argg. The mechanic didn't touch that one, but maybe retightening the top bolts caused the lower ones to change position. I did switch from gruppe-s gaskets to stock ones on the turbo inlet/outlet too, so that could have something to do with it. Who knows, I will try to look at my intake and readjust hoses and if that doesn't work then it is probably an uppipe or BOV leak.Originally posted by ilivas

I doubt your intake has anything to do with it.
another bov yu can look at the gets a nice sound is the greddy type-s. it requires a high amount of boost to get that sound but when yu get it, it just makes life beautiful
I am currently using the stiffest spring. Sorry I forget what color but you should be able to figure out which one is the stiff.
I was told to use motor oil to lube it up.
EDIT: With your set up I would say the soft or medium spring would be the best.

Twisty Monster - 335 ft/lb of torque @ 3600 rpm on a stock turbo. Is that possible? Yes it is.
I hear the greddy type s every daythats what i got on my miata and i love it. but i've heard the hks and like the high pitched sound a lil more
Let me know how your like your forge bov. I've been thinking about getting one.

I have one, it rocks. For under 18-19 psi put in the softest spring, though. Otherwise it flutters a lot and you get compressor stall.

how much boost are yu running on the greddy? if yu have a lot of boost (20+) yull get the chh and the high pitched in the same sound. Sounds sick.
