I did this the first time I had to remove my intercooler (downpipe installation) except it was the bolt that goes on the bottom of the IC from the turbo. I just got a metric tap and die set, worked like a charm.

gotta be careful using steel bolts on soft aluminum threads.

Actually, it's ignition timing and/or additional injection plumbing into the actual exhaust. It generally sounds more like a crackling bang than chirping. Due to the turbo constantly being on boost, antilag is usually only switched on when needed(in tight cornering sections).

I swapped my forge 100% atmo BOV for this valve and haven't looked back since. The first time I heard it, I thought it sounded weird, but it has grown on me. I like the volume of it and I have no problems with it in terms of smoothness. I would definitely recommend this BOV!

depends on what you want i am 18 and i have a job i got my rex like 6 months ago you are going to love it
anyway i was in the boat as you but decided to save up and got stage 2 personally i would go with the bov because of teh sound since most people with rex's dont think intakes help, infact they may take power away. the general concenses is that intakes are for higher modded wrx's.
    just my 2 cents
    have fun with the rex

go preorder the accessport from cobb tuning... that is if you have around 500 to spend. If not, no worries... about 280 will be charged at first, then another 270 when it ships...

the accessport overwrites the stock ecu with more aggressive software that is still reliable. 25 wheel horsepower. Downpipe aftwerwards, and youll get another 25... have fun

I never understood why someone would get a cobb stage 1 ecu upgrade.

I recommend you save a bit longer and get downpipe + catback from gruppe-s or something. You'll definitely enjoy that a lot more than a bov or intake
