Ok I'm personally friends with Ivan and he has a HKS. The HKS doesnt have the high pitched sound everytime. The World One STi has the RFL Bov.

    Bov

1)I'm not sure, but should I get a blow off valve...or are there no performance gains, only sound changes?

2)Also, anyone tried the vishnu stage sub zero..or have any recommendations for say..staged upgrades?

Btw, look at my car! http://www.gis.net/~citi/subaru1.jpg it's a subaru wrx with sti spoiler:P.

A catless uppipe would be the way to go as for 1st mods. You will notice the most difference for the least amount of money.

Npt at all, you would still have two more cats in the downpipe. The cat in the uppipe is for cold-start emissions, and since your car would be warm when you get it inspected youd be fine.

The BOV will help with power at high boost levels on the larger turbos. For people starting off don't bother. It's a cool sound, that;s about it. Uppipe and downpipe + a boost controller make the biggest differences on the WRX. BIGE difference with those 3 items.
