Stock bov vs turbo xs rfl

    I currently have a stage 4 w/a vf 22...stock intercooler
Should I place the stock bov back on to regain some of my pressure lost in between shifts or is it not safe too w/all that boost im running...(18lbs) ...Will it make a diff in performance for me...or is the aftermarket one ok...????

I had the RFL when I was stage 2, now with my APS FMIC I have the APS BOV. The car runs so much better than with the RFL. Plus the RFLs dont tend to do good at all with high boost. I wouldnt get an RFL with your setup.

I want that as my first mod because of the pssh it makes. Should I mod it a bit before buying an aftermarket BOV? Or it wouldn't do any harm if i just went out and get the BOV? Also, which HKS BOV would you reccomend, universal, or the one that's made for our car?
I was going to get an hks bov as my first mod. The guys at the performance shop recommended me not to do that. They said it will just cause the car to run rich, decreases gas mileage, and that it may decrease performance. They only recommend getting a bov after doing other engine mods first. I was suppose to get the bov today, but didn't after they talked me out of it.

Btw, I also wanted the bov just for the sound. Seems it'll just do more harm than good being as a 1st mod to a stock wrx.

Dude, everyone told me the same thing. People who have said it are the ones who never had a 100% atmosphere BOV. I have one and it's fine. I've had absolutely, positively no problems whatsoever!

The BOV will not cause any issues but it won't help you either. I only change it once we get past 20 PSI.

Can an HKS hold boost higher than that!? OR will I have to get a new BOV ?

where'd you get that avatar from?

I think I need to reinstall my short shifter. Lube it up and start wacking away (to get it into the holder)

But keep in mind, the guy said it to me that it's not recommended to be the first mod on a stock car. But hey, it's your car, you can do whatever you want to it.

So, you want people to know you have a turbo?

Check this out! This is the best idea I've written lately:
