Believe it or not, I've heard that going to silicone hoses really make one of those "little" big differences. They can handle the pressures of the vacuum and fluids going through them better with less flex, which in turn frees up some HPs in the engine supposedly.

On top of that, since you will be heading to TX especially, having some better quality hoses on a car that gets run pretty hard just makes more sense as a "preventative" upgrade. Silicone will be able to stand the harsh dry temps of TX much better I suspect.

Ehhhhhh.... I dunno about all that. Sounds like someone trying to justify a purchase that they just got ripped off. "Maybe" the radiator hoses might help withstand the dryness here in Utah... which I don't have. I just have 7 "accessory" hoses.... I'm pretty convinced they are just bling.

Plus, all the reading I've done tells me 2 of them I can't use because they are meant for JDM cars. Great.

Ask me? Complete waste of money.... thank God I didn't pay for them. I'm going to put them on (why not?)... but I'm not expecting anything at all.

Ehhh.... I'm not disappointed with the way it "looks" really.

Just kinda confused on why it costs so much. I like it..... I'm just glad I didn't pay for it.

So I finally picked up a lightweight flywheel to go with my upcoming clutch install. I was fortunate enough to find the one I wanted used. I was a bit nervous about buying a "he said, she said" flywheel, uncertain if it was the right application for my car.... but I suppose I lucked out.

Grabbed it this afternoon, and ran it down to the local machine shop to have it resurfaced. Came out well.

Upon cleaning it, I found the ACT part number.... which made me quite happy, as it is EXACTLY the one I wanted. 14.4 lbs, which is the heaviest of the lightweight flywheels. Should maintain a good level of daily driver-ability, not throw CELs, and still give me a little acceleration boost.

Here's the link to this flywheel on RSD:
