You can keep it relatively quiet with a 3inch exhaust, all depending on your axleback portion really. I have a TurboXS standard axleback right now, it's 3inchs (only the axleback though, the rest is stock). But it just has a nice rumble to it, not too loud. Cruising it has no drone and it looks relatively close to stock...so there are the options out there for whenever you are ready!

Your build is nice and conservative. It is really all you need. My old STI was protuned to 310whp and 330wtq on the stock VF43 and it was perfect for daily driving and the occasional quarter mile track run.

You are right around the good place for the tranny. Its not so much an issue, as long as you know how to drive it without banging around gears and launching and so on, especially with 06-07 trannies. They are a *little* more stout than previous years because the 2.5L engines do produce a bit more torque.
hey thanks for the kind words i apperciate that. Yeah i also want the tune to be conservative because there less worry free maintance verses need a laptop with 5 different maps to switch to depending on the weather and five other factors

Yeah my tranny did go awhile back but it was a defect form the factory so it was fixed on the house. I was looking at getting the turboxs oval cat back from my wrx and matting with up with the 3inch belmouth dp but im waiting a bit because im toying with the idea of doing header UEL and an extrenal waste gate but im shying away from that due to the fact of having concern then for my tranny
right now im just waiting on the powder coating place to finish my manifold in wringle red along with the APS hard turbo inlet im going to put them on along with TGV deltes and a quick retune.
Main focuss though comming up is suspension i have half of it ready waiting for a few other parts
i live my life a 1/4 mile at a time

^^^^ I will do that...... thanks!

I ALWAYS spend more at Rallysportdirect that I intended to. Those guys are so friggin awesome.

So... picked up my camber kits.... picked up the Kartboy rear subframe lockdown kit.

And..... I picked up a kartboy rear shifter bushing. I installed a shifter, bushings, swaybars and endlinks in a friend's 07 WRX this past weekend..... and when he pulled out the rear bushing.... I was like "WTF is that thing?"

When I did my shifter (nearly 5 years ago) I don't think that part existed... or at least I didn't know about it.... so I went ahead and picked it up.... why not?

Anyway..... coilovers should be here by the end of the week.

    I'm pretty excited.

I have had the kit installed since January and it really didn't seem to increase noise or vibration much (that I could tell). I assume they put that disclaimer because it could vary case by case and they don't people making a fuss.

I'm taking the coilover plunge.... with 8k and 6k springs.

    Noise really isn't a consideration

I have heard that it makes the rear end a little "bouncy"..... but that was likely from folks that had very little (if any) other suspension mods. My suspension is pretty well sorted already, so I may not notice much of a difference at all.

I just figured it was a good thing to pick up while I'm doing the coils anyway.

I installed the rear shifter bushing and the rear subframe lockdown bolts last night.

My suspension is already pretty stiff, and pretty well sorted.... so I didn't notice much of a difference at all driving to work this morning. Not to say that I won't notice it on the track.... but I don't notice it just driving around town.

Shifter feels noticeably better though. I'm glad I put it in.
