Ok..... so I finished up the 07 STI ltd. lip this evening. I've been working on it since Wednesday evening.... Just finished a few minutes ago.

Awesome.... I love the way it looks.

SUPER-easy install... had no problems whatsoever.

Gotta love those international packages from Japan:

A few coats of flexible primer, and a few hours sanding:

Three coats of flat black, and here's the finished product. Sorry, it was dark outside. I'll take better pics tomorrow:

Is it Polyurethane or ABS plastic like the stock STi one?

Edit:Oh hey btw, can you get better side shots of the car so i can see the lowering of the Eibachs, im debating Tein H-Techs or the Eibach Pro kit, i would really appreciate it.

    Car looks great dude.

eibach ftw . don't know much about tein, but i love the progressive coils of my eibachs compared to cheap lowering springs/coilovers. If the teins are progressive they're probly fine. just my .02

Tein H-techs are decent.... but they are a more significant drop than the Eibachs.

So, if you want a "lowered" looking car... get the Teins.

I didn't want the car to look lowered.

Plus... I can run 235/40/18s on all 4 corners, and there is no rubbing. And on the road, the ride quality is just as comfortable as stock. In the corners though, there is a noticeable improvement.

With Teins and that size tire.... you'll rub.

I planned on staying at 17s. But i just want a clean looking drop, a noticeable drop, but clean. Not like S-tech or Cobb sized drops. The H-techs looks perfect, i'm just curious as to what the prokit looks like on 17's. I just want to eliminate the monster wheel gap in the front of the car.

Over the past 2 months, I've been to a few local Subie meets, none of these pictures I actually took myself, but I like to keep track of them:

I think there's like 12 that I could dig up:

Can you PLEASE explain to me how the HELL you learned to do all that? I've always wanted to be able to go and **** around with my car but sadly I just don't have the funds that you do or the know how about the mechanics of a car and the tools I need to do it. I'm slowly, slowlyyyyyy getting into it.

    I read...... a LOT.

    I research everything... a LOT

I shop around for everything for the best price.

I don't buy "cool" stuff, I buy stuff with a purpose.

These forums are a priceless resource... there is so much knowledge on this site, it's immeasurable. Ironically, the folks out there that build their cars with the sole purpose of attracting attention, are the ones that get the least amount of it, or get ridiculed for their choices.

I don't criticize anyone for their choices.... so if you want an intake for the swoosh sound, a BOV for the "PSSSHHH", a big gigantic aluminum wing, neon lights, and a MBC to turn up your boost (unsafely)... then by all means, go ahead. Just don't be surprised when the only people that respect you for it are high school kids..... the Subie enthusiasts that actually know what they are talking about, will laugh at you.

This is my first WRX.. everything I've done, was for the first time.

My best advice is if you want to do something, do as much research as you can, and then don't "skimp" on it. If you can't afford it, save, don't buy cheap parts. Cheap parts = cheap car.

Last thing... don't be afraid to ask questions... most of the folks out there will be happy to help. I love getting questions from folks on advice or technical stuff (installation procedures mostly).. I always try to respond as accurately as I can. I hate the WRX's "Boy Racer" image (maybe cause I'm old--LOL).... If I can help one more person avoid it, I always try.

Never once did I claim to know everything, or even close to everything for that matter. No, i have not researched those, i chose my EM and the "build direction" I wanted to go from cobb.

It sucks when you try to provide a serious comment, or serious advice, based upon the best of your knowledge..... and then someone with an ego complex tries to prove he's better (or more knowledgeable) than you..... rather than just voicing his own knowledge or opinions, to help out those out who may not know.

You know.... I must admit.... all that ****-talking I did a couple posts ago about BOVs...... I'm such a damn hypocrit.

    I found this online:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=290115091211

Its the GFB 50/50 reciprocating WRX hybrid BOV. Considering it was under $100, I figured what the hell??

Actually, it DOES NOT mess up my idle at all... no backfiring, nothing.... there are absolutely no adverse effects at all.

And believe it or not.... I stand corrected.. there is actually an improvement. Granted, not a huge one at all.. but I did notice that it spikes the boost up a bit quicker, and actually holds it a bit longer before tapering off.

I wouldn't recommend spending $400 on a new one... but for $91??? I'm happy. And yea..... it has the cool sound---LOL

I also noticed that my exhaust was shifting around a little bit lately, so just to be on the safe side, I picked up a set of COBB polyeurothane exhaust hangers... 3 days so far (and a lot of dirt!)... no movement

    one question...
How do you "notice" your own exhaust moving around?
squeeking? I mean it's not like you can see it....
