TR=Tuner
Subaru offered a version of the WRX called the WRX Tuner in 06 and 07, basically a WRX will some of the higher end stuff missing (like stereo, interior, painted side mirrors, etc.) but the same powertrain and performance features. They sold for a bit less and Subaru figured tuners would swap out that stuff anyway.

I had no idea...thanks for explaining that. I always wondered about that haha. I wish I would have gotten one of those haha.
do 6-speeds weight about 100 lb more than a 5spd? read somewhere that they weight some more so that is one advantage of swapping gears, and mfactory gears are mid priced; ra--mfactory--ppg. But their ratios arent ment for drag racing at all lol mostly auto/rally x. hrmmmmmmmm options options.

TR = Tuner Ready
Same as the WRX (engine, drivetrain, suspension, brakes).... minus a few items:
1. Painted side mirrors (mine are black)
2. Contoured side skirts (mine are straight)
3. 6-cd changer (mine was a single CD, single din)
4. Climate control (mine is manual)
5. 1-piece highback seats (mine are 2-piece with headrests)
The starting price was about $1000 less, but usually ended up considerably more than that, as most WRXs usually came with at least a couple additional options.

This weekend was the snowcross at Miller Motorsports.... absolutely awesome. I did pretty well... especially considering i was a first-timer. I know at least a couple of the guys that were faster were using slicks.... Not all of them..... but a few.
Anyway, I'm quite pleased with my times..... swaybars and tires are definitely in the near future

Man that looks so cool... how do you get involved in this kind of stuff? Haha I want to! Man those are some sick pics of your car though...did you have someone take those with a really nice high speed camera or something? It's so detailed you can see your roll and lift/dive... do you need a Whiteline Anti Lift Kit and some sway bars?
Thanks!
Those pics were all taken by either SLCSUBARU.com members, or NASIOC members..... or both. We've got several guys that are pretty "photographically" friendly, with some nice equipment.
We've also got several guys that keep up with all the local motorsports events in the area. This was actually my first event, but it was the 3rd one of the season..... I ran with this last one, and made it the "official" SLCSubaru.com March meet... that's why you see so many Subies there..... there were a lot more that just showed up as spectators too, and never entered the race.
We've got quite a few Cali, Nevada, Wyoming members.... not to promote my site or anything, but you're more than welcome to come and sign up... it's free... and unlike here and NASIOC (which are great sites), most of our guys know eachother because we meet up so often.
No swaybars yet on the car..... but they are already on the way..... I learned a lot about this car that day on the track... and I DEFINITELY need some swaybars. I've got a 2-week trip to Korea in 2 days... immediately followed by another week in Vegas..... but afterward, you'll be seeing some swaybars on this car soon![]()
