you dont want an intake... they're bad for our cars, but if do the intake silencer delete(look at the DIY sectino of the forums) and get a catless uppipe, you'll be hearing that baby spool pretty loud

Let's not give people misinformation here. Cold Air Intakes (aka CAIs) are reputably bad for our cars whereas Short-Ram Intakes are just fine.

    Here's more Intake FAQ

+1 for SPT or Cobb short ram intake.

    Thanks :)

Well, am I thinking about going with the one short ram below and it does have a reasonable price. Does the wooshing intake sound on a shortram overpower the sound of the turbo? Also, I'm adding a Turbo XS RFL blow off, is that really obnoxious or what? lol Oh, and the downpipe and uppipe are definitely coming with it all. I can't wait to get all of this installed! It's all I think about, lol.

Thanks again in advance! You guys are a quick help!

The silencer delete was already removed

So I go out there at 11:00 at night to do the silencer delete. Got the car jacked up, it's wet outside of course, get it half pulled apart and realized the previous owner removed it already.

Will a K&N help with the sound over paper FRAM?

    Just curious,

    Thanks in advance again guys!

Is the stock turbo even that loud? I mean I did the Snorkus and it's loud(er) in the cabin but outside the car, I can't hear ish.

I know in some videos with cars that have the STi GT35's and crazy supra 9 billion hp you can hear the turbo half way down the track. But with the stock TD04 or VF39 I don't think it's ever going to be that loud.

Alright, I'm sold on the SPT intake. Where's a good CHEAP dependable place to purchase one?

    Thanks,

You'd be surprised what the SPT could do for the loudness factor.
