I have seen it the opposite way, subaru into porsche but

I'm sure Oprah could make a WRX that went into space if she decided to put her money into it but its not cost effective and it'll be way more trouble than its worth. Theres easier ways to make power. At the end of the day the only real reason to do it is to say "I have a porsche engine" but if thats what you want why stop there theres other brand with more snob appeal you could do a Ferrari engine swap.
I wouldn't go that far but the subie engine is already in the car and its more than capable of making power.

As much as I love Subaru motors, Porsche engines are plain magic. BMW, Ferrari, and Porsche make the world's best engines, IMO.
