Hi I have a 2003 Wrx hatchback and recently have noticed an increase in smoke output while idling/sitting at lights. I checked my intake and intercooler piping and i noticed a tiny bit of oil but not too much. When i leave the car running and look in the bay i can see a spot on my uppipe that looks like it has been burning oil but the general area around the turbo is smoking. If my turbo seals are failing, should i just go ahead and buy a new TDO4 or just replace the seals?
same here seem like my is leaking also after i install my turbo boost wrong thiniking i pop of of my line for coolant when i hit boost after 3 there is smoke any suggestion ??
Identify where the leak is coming from, than it will be easiest to trouble shoot. Many things can leak onto the headers and turbo up pipe in the engine bay.
