Turbo back exhaust, cold air intake, and the pipe connecting the compressor outlet on the turbo to the intercooler. APS is the name of the company who made them.

aps is the brand, and they mean the following:

    tbe-turbo-back exhaust
    cai- cold air intake
y pipe kit- replaces the stock intercooler hoses with better, more durable hoses/piping.

Has your car been tuned for these parts??!!

whats your opinion on these? do any of these have a negative effect upon long term reliability?

The longevity really seems to depend on the particular car. I've been trying to gauge this from watching the forums for a while as well.

Those mods appear to be mostly equivalent to a "stage 2" power level (230-250 whp on the ej205, I think), and is one of the most common and relatively safe performance mod levels. That being said, although there have been some extraordinary cases(user powder was one), I have seen a few stage 2 cars not make it to 200k miles recently before needing some kind of valve or piston work.

Check this list of high milage cars for the 02-05 body style, and see if you can get a statistically significant number for the expected life of a stage two car. I expect that failure will be highly dependent on how close the owner watches and catches intake/boost leaks and other problems which can develop into big ones.

It should run pretty good with a good tune.. reliability shouldn't be effected as long as the tune is good.

I had my friend who's a certified mechanic (not that it matters) take a look at it and he claims it is a cat back exhaust. Is it possible the dealer I bought from removed the more expensive turbo back exhaust and put a cheaper cat back on it? If he did would it need to be retuned?

Hard to see the downpipe in your pictures.. but it looks like it might be stock. If it has heat shields on the pipe, it's stock.
