    Oem intercooler question

02 03 Subaru Impreza WRX Top Mount Intercooler Tmic | eBay I'm switching from front mount to the oem intercooler for my 03 wrx. Reason being because their is a big turbo lag, all I have is cobb stage 2 setup so the fmic isn't necessary. If I ordered this one from the link what else would I need with it? Or is that everything I'll need right there?

What's the difference between the top mount intercooler and the front mount intercooler? Besides location that it's installed

You would need a BPV and all of the OEM plumbing that goes from the turbo to the intercooler. I'm not completely sure if that has everything you need to hook it up to the throttle body but it looks like it to me. Otherwise, you'll need all of the mounting bolts as well.

Here is where you could find an oem intercooler. ---> https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/oe_parts_cat.html
You would also need to purchase a Y pipe and bypass valve, and a return hose for the bpv back to the intake. Some kits come with Y pipe, return hose, and intercooler to throttle body all together.

SubieLouv - The main advantage is the intercooler gets more air cooling the air from turbo more efficiently. Being in front of the car vs on top the intercooler will not be exposed to as much heat from the engine. They are also larger, so they handle more boost.
