    Hey guys my buddy has an 02 wrx and wants to put sti parts in it. What year sti does he need to pull off of?

    Subaru did not not bring the STi to the USDM until the 2004 MY and there are significant differences (not the least of which is the engine). So the answer to the question you asked is not quite as easy as you may imagine.
