Would a N1 S/S Catback Exhaust be okay for my 04 wrx wagon? It's a 4 inch tip with a 3 inch light weight piping. Here's the full details:

HIGH PERFORMANCE N1 STYLE CATBACK EXHAUST SYSTEM FEATURING PATENTED STRAIGHT THROUGH & MULTI-CORE TECHNOLOGY TO UNLEASH HIDDEN HORSEPOWER

MADE OF HIGH QUALITY T-304 STAINLESS STEEL ( LIGHT WEIGHT DESIGN ) WITH MANDREL BEND

    3" LIGHT-WEIGHT PIPING

    C.N.C. MACHINED FLANGES

DIRECT BOLT ON DESIGN (GASKETS AND BOLTS INCLUDED)

MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE WHICH INCREASES UP TO 15 HORSEPOWER

    PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION IS RECOMMENDED

    Thanks
    Ed

Uhh, I don't see why not. It's built to bolt right on to your car. So long as it specifies that what you are buying is in fact for a 2004 WRX.

Do you mean an Invidia N1?

I don't notice any difference mentioned between the sedan and the wagon for that year WRX.

I don't know how optimistic the "15 HP" is. Without a downpipe, it'd mostly be for sound effects. A downpipe would be more useful for power.

Does the 04 have a catted up-pipe? If so, many recommend replacing it with an up-pipe without a catalyst. The ceramic base of the cat can disintegrate and be ingested by the turbo compressor. Not good.

There were no exhaust differences between 4- and 5-door cars for that model year in the US.

I would be stunned if a cat-back exhaust yielded the power gains claimed.

This one. I just want better sound for now, until I can get something really good. It's up for $110 from $150 on ebay. Has 180 day warranty, and 60 day money back guarantee. So I think it's not a bad deal, brand new.

A quality exhaust tends to list for 500% the price of what you have linked. I can't imagine the quality is even close to passable

I think I'd rather save up $400-500 and buy a good brand exhaust, before buying anything used, and go with this for a month or so. Just to have better sound.

Anyways, I appreciate all of you guy's comments. Very helpful, thank you!

If/when you get this, please consider posting your experience installing and living with it. Someone in the future may find it useful.

K2 Spec D Tuning s2000 exhaust (ebay exhaust) - YouTube This is the exhaust I ordered. Not the same car obviously but it sounds decent enough. I will post a video when I install it , so everyone can see, and maybe help them decide whether to get it or not.
