    Question Pro tune

Hey guys I'm going in for a pro tune for my 05 wrx with a catless uppipe and down pipe and the tuner said I need a bigger flue pump for the tune. If I don't need a bigger fuel pump for cobb stage 2 then why do I need one now?

Who is the tuner? Your fuel pump is adequate for the 420cc injectors.

    - I'll translate that for you. As long as your chimney is stock, you don't need an upgraded pump- the flow potential is fine as is. On the otherhand, if you have some flue blockage, a good chimney sweeping may help prevent fires.

I'm getting tuned at equalibirum by Ed in Fairfield CA .see that's why I'm confused because I'm stage 2 right now with a cobb map and I don't need a new fuel pump so why will I need one now? Will it provide more power?

No. I think that is a silly requirement. The only thing a larger fuel pump will do with your stock injectors is heat the fuel.

Fuel pumps should be matched with injectors, unless you plan on running higher fuel pressure which will require different fuel rails and an adjustable fpr.
