Wanting to stage two my car- suggestions, brands for aftermarket parts, ect.

I have an 04 WRX, only mod is a magnaflow catback exhaust. I'm wanting to do a catless downpipe and EM on it, possibly an uppipe if I need to. What brands would you suggest? What works with what? Obviously there's Cobb AC and Invidia Piping but is there stuff that's less expensive that will work just as well? What are the gains?

Gains are around 280 crank Hp for standard stage 2.

If I got to do stage 2 any way that I wanted on a budget. I would go Invidia bellmouth downpipe, Tactrix cable + email tune, AEM wideband, Maddad boost gauge.

Okay cool. Would I get the same gains from adding a high flow cat as opposed to a catless dp? Any benifit to that?

You would be more likely to pass inspection.. boost would come on a hair later, and you'd make a little less power.

But it probably wouldn't really be noticeable on the butt-dyno at basic Stage 2 levels.

Since you have a 2.0L I would consider replacing the up pipe for one that is catless a priority.
They are known to cause turbos to go BOOM.

^Yes, forgot to mention that. Up-pipe would be the very first mod I would do, no matter what.

Okay gotcha. As far as emissions go, I'm in Ohio and they don't test.
