    Just another Boost concern

I went stage 2 in my 2011 wrx. I have a AP and I'm running Stage2+Intake 93 MTv310 map. My boost is hitting 20+. It seems to do it when I'm in 5th and punch it. With a normal 3rd pull from 2500rpm to 7500 seems to stay with in target boost. I'll do some pulls tonight and put up a log. I'm wondering if I should run the lwg map or just keep it how it is.

    Higher gear = higher boost...

Don't punch the gas in 5th gear. If you want to accelerate, downshift.

There was a little snow on the ground on my way home so I couldn't log. I did however punch it I'm 3rd to get onto the on ramp and I hit 19.73 psi. Should I be concerned with this boosting? I just loaded the lwg map and will try running it tomorrow. I don't want to sacrifice power but I also don't want to hurt my baby.

    It's a little over the +/- 1 pound variance.

I'd rather sacrifice a little bit of power to save my car. Especially if it's your only car

I used the LWG map today but the realtime one, not the full reflash, and still was boosting 20+ I'm going to set it as the base map tonight on my ride home and see how it goes.

Here is a link to my data log. I did a complete reflash, not a realtime map, and I'm still over boosting. I loaded the SLWG and I'm going to try that one and see if it fixes it.

What gear is that in? Your calculated load is high.

I loaded the SLWG and she is boosting at about 19.76 at the highest now. A little lower.

Slight incline but not much. Does the car need to learn the new maps? Like a break in period?

It does take a little while for your car to adjust to a reset. Throttle response will feel slow at first.
