Which Pro tuner to go with, Tri-state people...

I am planning on doing a lot of work to my car and obviously getting her tuned afterwords. I have the accessport v3 so I'm already flashed to stage 1. Im going for a very strong stage 2+. CBE, DP, ELH's, TMIC, RBOV, CAI, an much more. List of mods and specifics can be found in the start of my build thread: My "small" build thread
But my main reason for this thread is I'm trying to decide whether to go with precision tuning or R/T tuning.. R/T is more expensive but they also seem to have more business then precision. Im just looking for other peoples personal experiences or things they have heard on both shops... I know people are going to say just call and talk to them to make your decision, which Ive already done. Im still not sure though, I have heard that precision was known more for tuning the bug eye's. They charge 300 a tune with the holiday discount, but then they have an option to have "Cleo" tune your car. For some reason Cleo's tunes cost 150 more... Im really leaning towards R/T but 225 an hour is pretty steep. So if anyone has ever dealed with either of these pro tuners any input would be appreciated.

I honestly don't think you could go wrong with either one. Both have a very good rep.

I'm wondering if Cleo is a specialist they fly in every so often...and the extra loot it costs covers travel expenses.

Personally, I'd go with R/T though.

Are you deadset on those two shops?

I would hope they would have to fly him in or something, otherwise it would be ridiculous they charge 150 more just because he's the best tuner...
EJ, I'm not dead set, but I've heard the most about these 2 shops and they are also fairly close to me

R/T is cobb tuning authorized too, so I'm still leaning towards the steeper price...(R/T)

If it were my money, I'd probably go with Akuma Motorsports. John was the tuner @ Precision for years, then was hired by Cobb, then left to start Akuma.

I stand by the guys at R/T. I got all my work done up there and they are top notch. Also very big with tuning Subaru's every time I'm up there they always are working on at least one. Andy is a great tuner he squeezed 30hp out of my previous E-tune. They will probably quote you 2 and 1/2 hours which they hardly ever use all that time. I think my tune came in around 400-500. Which I was happy to pay knowing the great reputation they have.

Obviously I'm biased but I stand by the good group of guys up at R/T.

Thanks for the input bro! An I noticed the same thing on R/T's Facebook, every day they post pics of the shop an there is usually at least 1 subaru or the shops full of them.. At this point I'm going to call akuma and see what they have to offer (I really like the looks of their work) They're website has all they're project cars on it, which are quite impressive.

Is an Accessport required by them though?

I believe they do Opensource tunes as well but I think they recommend Accessport. I had AP before I went there to get a tune so no big deal for me.
