    Custom Exhaust

Ok a buddy of mine is a welder at the Honda plant here. He wants to make a custom CBE for my 11 WRX to see how it goes and if he want's to sell it. I don't have a problem with it at all but what I would like to know is what would be a good set of mufflers to use? I'd like something that will work well as a quad tipped and I'm also going to suggest that he buy a flex pipe to help with the fitment. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Edit: My car is his test car and I will use it for a while, may keep it but may buy a nice exhaust still too.

I'd start with magnaflow, they were good enough for TurboXS back in the day.

I'm thinking not screaming loud, more around the q300 range or nameless. I know nameless uses magnaflow. Unfortunately though, there will probably be some drone seeing as it will be a custom system

Find out if he could do some kind of single oval tips, one per side. I'd love to see a company do that, kinda like Prodrive did back on the GDs.

^What about the Apexi World Series, Nior (Black) or Polished? Those sound mean and are single oval tips, you might would have to add a resonator in the midpipe cause those mufflers are pretty loud.

I'll have to look into this, I'm open to ideas and looking for something out of the ordinary. This sounds along those lines.

The Apexi WS is nice. I was looking into them back with my last GD STI because I liked the look. Still have a round tip though.

I'm thinking oval tip like this Prodrive muffler:

Or better yet, something oval like this, that actually fits into the space nicely that is otherwise made for dual tips on each side.

This looks kinda good. I would be interested as to how it would look on my 11 WRX. Might have to see if I can't make this work, dual oval tips.
