TD05 TD05H 20g Turbo Charger Direct Bolt on Subaru Impreza WRX EJ20 EJ25 Engine | eBay

I would love to get rid of my stock TD04 at some point, but is this turbo real life?

I know that I'm for even thinking about it, would any of you guys do it?

Nope. There was a guy on here who had an eBay turbo and he was about to get it tuned but he seems to have vanished from the forum so.....take it for what it is.

It's a lot of fun with an Ewg and PnP exhaust manifolds.

eBay turbos are junk, and that one wouldn't even fit on your car since your 08 uses the LGT style fitment.

If you want an inexpensive upgrade, why not look for a used VF52?

Just getting opinions. You get what you pay for. Where would be the best place to find a VF52?

A used one? I would keep an eye on the nasioc classifieds. Last time I looked there were a few posted up for sale every week.

I haven't looked much.. but I've seen ones in good shape, low miles going for $400 shipped. I usually look at what they're selling for to determine how much things are worth.

seems fair. I saw a guy selling a VF40 for 150, but i guess thats not much of an upgrade compared to the TD04, right? I tend to get lost in all the dang numbers associated with these turbos.
