Check engine, traction, and blinking cruise

So, I had this problem the other day and brought it to my autoshop. They reset it with a scanner and everything went fine. They said nothing was wrong with the car. 2-3 days later, it happened again. The first time, the problem was emissions leak. Is there something seriously wrong with my car? It's a 13 wrx with 5k miles

We can't really say unless we know what the code is.

A small emissions leak is most likely your gas cap not being on tight. The code is po442. If they cleared it but didn't tighten the cap, it probably came back.

Go to autozone, get the code and report back

Remove and reinstall your gas cap drive day or two, if its happen again get a new gas cap ( your warrantee should take care of it).

Btw no one has mentioned that the CEL traction control and blinking cruise light is your car being in limp mode.

If tightening your gas cap doesn't solve the problem, read through this tread: 2013 WRX P0451 Code Evap Emission Control System

I had P0451, but others reported having P0455. For me, it turned out to be a faulty engine wiring harness. The dealership replaced it under warranty.

Here is another case of a faulty engine wiring harness, different codes though: 2012 Misfire P301, P302, P304
