    Throttle

I recently had my check engine light, and traction control light on. The cruise control was blinking. I brought it to a autoshop and they used a scanner and it said emissions leak. I have a 2013 wrx. We reset the codes and all the lights disappeared. Turns out it was the gas cap that lead to all of it. Once he reset it. I feel that my throttle is not as responsive? did the scanner change something with the throttle? Or am I just getting used to the car?

Your ECU probably has to relearn the fuel curves.

LOL, same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago. I have never, until 2 weeks ago, left my gas cap loose, so I would never have thought to check it. I felt like a massive idiot when the dealer came back with that. But relieved at the same time.

I did not notice any difference in the throttle after it cleared up.
    Not so much anymore.

    ^ That. Due to reset.
You can't have everything - where would you put it?

For relearning the fuel curves.... Does it just do that by itself?

So the more I drive it the faster it'll relearn it? No auto shop to re-do it or dealer or anything?

I would guess it has more to do with the Advance Multiplier being halved upon an ECU reset than fuel trims.

Agreed. But ECU learning timing/fueling, let's just agree that the ECU is learning

(Admittedly, it's been so long since I've worked on a stock ECU that I forgot the ECU starts with the IAM lower than max...)
