03 subaru bad idle problem. what to do?

i have an 03 wrx and it will idle when i first turn on my car going all the way down to 0 then up to about 1.5 and eventually it will hit zero a 3rd or 4th time and shut off. i do need a tune or EM for my car soon but would that be the problem?

Does it idle bad when it's cold or when it's warmed up?

Since we don't know what modifications you've performed I don't think it's worth speculating. Is your IACV ok? Did the problem start after a mid?

And I have a tb exhaust with up and dp, intake and fm inter cooler. I do not a have a tune yet so should I not even be hitting boost at all until then? I plan to get an open source with custom tune from a local shop

You really shouldn't be driving the car at all until you get a tune.

That shop is retarded and wrong or wildly misinformed. Find another shop to do your tune. Stage 2 OTS maps do not support your mods.

The only thing it doesn't support is the fmi. Why would that matter?

They also told me that if I don't have upgraded injectors, fuel pump, or turbo that the stage 2 cobb would be fine

Are you serious? You really NEED to go thru the site and do a LOT of reading. There is a lot to learn there....
You can't have everything - where would you put it?
