LOL, yea i know what you mean. When I had my old 06 wrx i bought the invidia turboback exhaust for it, after it was installed i couldnt get the heat shield back on over the turbo. I thought i broke or screwed up something and went running to nasioc for help. Found this out, ordered the grimmspeed turbo heat shield and was good to go!
I just noticed in your orginal post, you asked about cost. For the invidia TBE you are looking at about $1500.00, once again, so worth it. Best exhaust, and sounds super freaking mean! An intake, depending which one you go with, anywhere from $200-400. Turbo heat shield (I prefer and love the grimmspeed one) $80.00, and then the accessport, the new V3 one is amazing and has so much more to offer over the V2. However the maps are the same. If you plan on mounting your AP and using it for the built-in gauges and so fourth i would spend the extra on the new one(V3). If you are just going to reflash your ecu with the new map and throw the AP in your glove compartment, no use in getting the new one IMO. The V2 will serve you just fine. The V3 can be had for 650.00, and a new V2 is 549.00. Now, every now and again you can catch a good deal on a used AP here in the classified's, just make sure it has been properly "unmarried" from the previous car. So, saying approximately 2500.00 for everything would be a safe bet.

I have a 2013 WRX Sedan. I use a nameless performance rear muffler delete with a CNT catted downpipe if is plenty loud enough with that rip your head off sound when you get on it. The CNT divorced catted downpipe is $369.99 I think they had them on sale for $310.00 when I got mine a month ago. I'd go with CNT catted downpipe Nameless Performance rear muffler delete and a Torqued Performance stage 2 tune. You will not be disappointed. Just make sure to go catted on the downpipe that way you don't have any chance of boost creep which can not be tuned out on a noncatted downpipe.
I just looked the CNT Divorced catted downpipe it's on sale again for $310.99 fit and finish was perfect on my car.
"Loud" is definitely a very subjection opinion. I personally went with Agency Power because I liked the sounds. Interesting note, it's a little on the loud side for me...oh well. Also, be ready to start tracking the "rattling" gremlins. Since I upgraded the plastic in the back rattles at high way speed.
