    Talking 20g Perrin TMIC Set up/Tune

    I have went with a new Turbo set up and wanted to share!

    08 Wrx 51000 miles

    List of Engine Mods :

    Invidia Turboback Exhaust
    Gt spec uppipe/header combo
    Perrin Tmic
    Tomica td05 20g Turbo
    740cc injectors
    DW 65c fuel pump
    Grimspeed 3 Port boost control
    AEM cold air Intake
    (missing tgv deletes, waiting for perrin fmic this spring and will add them then)
    Tune was done by Andy at Ftw tuning.
    335whp with 345TQ (pump gas) on a conservative tune. Hoping to add the Tgv deletes and change to a front mount here in the next couple of months. thanks for reading! Click image for larger version.

    Nice looking car man. Put down some good power too. In for the pics of new intercooler. What kind of wheels and tires are you running? specs please!

    Look like 18x9 or 10, depending on offset. Looks great and nice power curve

    Whats conservative about it? Doesn't that seem about right for a tdo5 20g? Good numbers!! Car looks great too! I have a red one...06 though....

    Yeah, depending on the tune and supporting mods, 20G makes anywhere from 320-350whp on the stock cams and heads.

    OP; I wold certainly do TGV deletes at this point. Have you installed an equal length header and EWG? If not, those should be in your plans (I suspect even before the FMIC)

    I keep seeing people talking about TGV deletes and equal length headers.....things that I have not done yet as well....

    Haha I also love the sound of the uel headers on our cars. I have never heard a suby with el headers in person, so its hard for me to just buy them not knowing. But, I agree with ZAX, at the least, tgv deletes and a external wg. Make a huge difference!

    I installed the Tomei EL headers yesterday and honestly the sound didn't change much There is slightly less bass/deepness but the actual sound is much the same, there is still a rumble to it. I've people say it will sound like an I4 with EL headers but I disagree.

    The turbo is pushing at 18psi. My tunner said I could be doing closser to 21 if wanted but since I'm still missing my deletes I'm gonna wait on that.

    Yeah, Trust me I wanted to the deletes as well but I'm a ballar on a budget lol. The reason I'm going to wait till fmic is because its gonna save me on labor doing it at the same time.

    Running this set up now for a little over three weeks and I must say the car feels amazing. My mpg has even gone up (I'm guessing because I really dont get on it much) the stock turbo seems to spool way down low while the 20g with my top mount set up kicks in right around 3800rpm and is at full peak whp at 4500rpm as my dyno shows.
