    You heard wrong.

It's a knockoff of the TurboXS unit, with inferior build quality, lower fin density, and lower charge cooling compared to the TurboXS unit.

The TXS TMIC/FMIC have been ripped off for a long time. TMICs sell in the $100-200 range on eBay, while the FMICs can sell for anywhere from $300+ for the same kit. They're all the same knockoff part, but different companies price them higher.

Hell, FMS even markets that it's a ripoff of the TXS design in their product description for their 02-07 TMIC:
Why purchase a turboxs unit when you can purchase this and a few other products for the same money!?
    "Because it works better."

The '08+ TMIC is a ripoff of the ProcessWest TMIC, and the same description earlier applies.
