    Need advice on EBCS

So I just diagnosed a under boosting problem with my car and determined that the stock EBCS is defective. I'm looking at eBay and I'm considering one of a few options. First and second I would be able to do soon but the other, because of budget, I'd have to wait awhile for. Ok first option would be to buy a used stock BCS, the second would be to buy a cheap no-name mechanical BCS, third and fourth would be to buy a name brand manual or electronic BCS. If I do one of the first two I will end up upgrading later. I have concerns about buying a no-name MBCS and the pros and cons of a manual vs electronic. I do have a tuner that could tune an after market EBCS but budget would keep me from being able to afford one for a few months. Thanks for the input.

I went with Mach V ebcs. Mach V 3-Port Boost Control Solenoid - Boost Control

Ask your tuner and see what he wants. Some won't tune your car unless you're running a bcs system that they specify whether mbc ebcs or hybrid.

Just replace it with a stock unit. I bought one used locally for $20 back in the day...

That's about how much they are on eBay so that's what I was leaning towards.

You'd need someone to modify the WGDC and TD tables for an aftermarket unit, so a used stock unit in good condition is a great middle ground

Thanks for the input. I really just wanted to make sure I was on the right page by wanting to buy a used stock ebcs. Seems the most logical for my current setup anyway.
