    Divided Open Wastegate

I'm not sure if anyone is making an open dump wastegate set up for factory turbo/ turbo location 08-13 wrx's yet, I know they have divided and undivided but do they have an open dump? If there is no such animal and a few people on here are interested I'll fab a few up.

The only thing they would provide is more noise and a better chance for boost issues. That's why everyone uses an EWG up-pipe combo instead.

    +1

I doubt you'll see any worth gains outside of the noise. Also - it would require you to get another downpipe if you switch to an EWG down the road.

I'm not seeing how you would seal the turbine exit from the IWG exit on a stock location turbo.. the divorced ones aren't really sealed off, so if you made it dump you would have a massive exhaust leak all of the time, not just when the flapper opens.

Not to mention all the problems 3rd gen owners have with boost creep. This sounds like a perfect way to all but guarantee creep.

If I wanted to machine it to keep the two separated, I could. But after thinking about this idea for a week, it doesn't seem logical to waste my time to keep them separated just for an open dump setup.
