That's usually not a cat in the midpipe...its a resonator.

Any One have any problems installing the invidia n1 cbe to a 09 hatch? I've read that flat gaskets will work, I've read must use donut gasket and spring bolts, read that need 2.5 to 3 inch adaptor. Does any over just have a solid answer

Any one know the difference in the exhaust from sdn and hatch. I got a cbe off Craigslist and it did even go through my mind of seeing if it was for a sedan or hatch. My luck it was for a sedan and I have a hatch. About 3 inches too long and the hangers don't match up

It's different. Not sure what you mean by difference but the design is entirely different. So a sedan exhaust will never fit a hatch & vice versa.

Do I don't need a tune or anything if I'm just slapping on a catback?
