Installing magnaflow CBE - wrx 2010 sedan

    Sup fellas,

Tonight I tried removing my stock cbe...I'm frustrated as &?%& to tell you that I failed. Even with Liquid Wrench super strong stuff.

I'll let it sit couple hours...try again tomorrow...

I'll use this thread to post pics of the installation as well as a before and after vid.

I know you guys love pics and vids...but I won't post anything girlfriend related. You pervs!

On a serious note, if you have any tips to help me remove these goddamned bolts or any usefull ones....be my guest...!

Here are some pics of the new Magnaflow CBE...pretty good quality :

Liquid wrench has nothing on PB Blaster, so go get some and try it. Also, find something with a looong handle to get some leverage on those bolts. Just be careful not to break the bolts completely off lol.

As we told you last night, breaker bar and some man pants. The bolts might break, just replace them.

sure youre turning the bolts the right way? or is stuff backwards in canada? its a 2010 shouldnt be rusted or anything.. try heating up the bolts if PB blaster doesnt work...shouldnt even need either of those..

    then why ask?

but i wouldnt waste my time. rear 02 is before cat. your car may or may not explode if you dont unplug the neg terminal after a catback install.

oem spring bolts dont fit new setup

go buy new bolts, too big for the hole.

    fml

gonna get the right bolt width tomorrow and be done with it..

So the stock gasket is stuck on the midpipe side? Are you then adding the new gasket as well? If so, that's probably why the bolts don't fit.

Scrape off the old gasket, then the bolts will likely fit better.
