Thought I throw this one out to the tuner guys. I finished installing a new AVO Intercooler on my '13 WRX, replaced the factory unit. Everything bolted up well and my new throttlebody hose I was using my stock intercooler sealed tight with the T-clamps, so no issues there. Started the car and checked for leaks and all looks and sounds good.
Issue, when I turn the engine over now I get a hollow cranking sound almost like there is a hole in the firewall and I can hear inside the starter motor as it's turning. The car does fire right up and maybe even a little quicker, could be my imagination though. Is the sound from the new intercooler being bigger and all aluminum creating the engine start sound echo? Once the engine is started and running everything else sounds normal. Footnote, I did swap out my stock "pitch stop" for a Kartboy Pitch Stop but don't think that would cause a different engine starting sound in the cabin.
Any help is as always appreciated.
