    04 wrx Help

I just pick up a 2004 wrx lm for a decent price with a couple of issues.

1 I just installed a cat less up pipe in fear of the oem catted shooting in to my turbo but when i get on it around 5 thousand rev the car almost feels like it choking and eventually after a sec. it kicks back in.

2 I have a massive oil leak from some where but cant determine where it coming from. What would be the most common area it would come from.

Thanks for the help any input will help.

    Choking? Think exhaust leak pre-turbo.

But oil leak? That could be tons of things...valve cover gaskets, turbo, oil seals, head gasket, oil pan gasket, oil filter, etc.

it almost feels like it to much boost around 14 psi @ 5500 rpm and it shutdown then kick back on.
the oil leak is back its all under the frame but mostly toward the front of the car.
the past owner was very negligent toward the car.
the car i all stock no mods other then the up pipe.

Stock boost on the 02-07 WRXs should be ~13.7-13.9psi...til about 5000rpms, then tapering down from there til redline.

Did you install all new gaskets with the UP?

Well the logical thing to do would be to clean off all the caked oil, and then look for new signs of it after a few days/few hundred miles.

Yes I changed up pipe gasket. I ask the previous owner about the boost issue and he said he installed a sti boost solenoid. He said the issue would be resolved with a tune.
