    Perrin thermal DP blanket

Any body try these? I was thinking of using it and a turbo blanket in addition to my cobb heat shield. Are they actually worth getting? I wanted them not just for cooling but to keep tha exhaust gases hot and more free flowing through my cat in my DP

I'd just buy a roll of titanium heat wrap, instead.

bunch of people have Turbo blankets...for $60, they are more effective than just a heatshield. They work even better when used with a heatshield.

Unless you can find a good deal through a vendor, Perrins are probably a little overpriced for what you are getting.

Not that it really matters but when you wrap you dp you will lose your warranty (if you had one). But we don't tend to really care about warranties here anyway. Just thought I'd mention it though!

That stuff is fiberglass, and I'm not a fan of it. The new titanium wraps are far superior, and don't require sealing and wet wrapping.

I have to ask...what the heck does wrapping a DP have to do with losing a warranty?

Be aware, it's only really useful to wrap until the downpipe bends and goes back by the firewall. Any wrap beyond that is diminishing returns.

Changes the heat that is retained in the metal. And the wrap causes it to corrode faster. And to be clear I'm talking about the warranty on the dp itself.
