First Mod Opinions??

Hey guys just was looking for some opinions on a first mod, just got my income tax return back and I can use about 1000.00 of it and Im not sure if I want to go with a cat back exhaust (which I know is only a noise maker) but I love the sound, or do I go with a COBB intake and AP ?

out of those choices id get intake and AP. why? because new tune, moar power, pshh sound, sf intake with box is sexy as hell.

with 1000 dollhairs id look for a used catted downpipe and then find a tuner ya like talking on the phone late at night to and sending nudez to and get an etune off them. if ya dont have enough $ for that save a little bit. the car wont run away. orrrr get intake and AP, save for DP and opensource tune then when u have enough buy a downpipe, keep saving until u have enough for tune, install DP, get a tune, resell AP.

Cobb intake/box/post maf tube and Cobb AP.

Then uppipe/downpipe. Thats my plan atleast.

Post-MAF is useless with those mods.

Also, Cobb does not make an intake-specific map for your car. I'd skip the intake altogether. Instead, if you'd like the "woosh" sound, consider the snorkus delete mod.

I was leaning toward the AP and intake, like most people said for the increase in power. I figure I can have fun with the stage 1 save my money and buy a full TBE and maybe even get it pro tuned? Not sure how the AP maps are for stage 2. Also what is the difference between between a catted dp or no cat? Other then the obvious

Cobb maps are designed for a Catted DP. Still, if $$ is an issue, the Tactrix is a much more effective use of your resources. Hell, it's more fiscally responsible regardless of your budget.

catted dp's you have less risk of boost creep. Also, non-catted dp's they don't make off the shelf maps for (Cobb/Perrin). You would have to get a custom tune for a non-catted. Non-catted dp's are cheaper though (all the expensive metal in the catalytic converter is not needed).
