Was wondering if it would be a good idea to get a turbo timer for a '13. Never owning a car with a turbo before leaves me without a lot of knowledge on what to do. Does a 13 WRX need a TT or is it a good idea without much gain?

What do they usually run price wise and is it all one unit or is there wiring harnesses or other items that need to be added, as well as what degree of difficulty is it to install?

    Thanks guys.

    No.

Read the owner's manual. All the info you need is in there, including shut down procedure.

A few hundred USD from memory but it's not necessary. There should be a harness.

    Skip all that.

There is no need to get a turbo timer. It is a waste of time & fuel. The WRX doesn't need a turbo timer since the turbo is water cooled. Turbo timers are installed on cars with oil cooled turbos to prevent the oil from coking.

Just drive like a normal person for the final 5 minutes of your drive, and your turbo will be fine.

There is a direct fitting harness...
