I would prefer a STG2 TBE and tune first.
smy cluster/ gauges
exhaust
This is a discussion on exhaust vs gauges within the Engine Modifications forums, part of the Tech & Modifying & General Repairs category; what would you rather have first at stage 2. exhaust/ axle back or smy cluster and gauges?...

Gauges are functional (WBO2/Boost to monitor vehicle's health)..exhaust is just for noise...although I did the exhaust first, and still haven't installed my gauges, lol

I just did the same thing, I got the SMY Clustermaker sitting in the house next to the empty exuast shipping boxes.

i know the horror stories behind prosport, but am wondering if their more expensive ones (like the halo) are better

No. If your intention is to buy Prosports, you're better off with an exhaust.Originally Posted by svtfever

FWIW, my ProSport Halo boost gauge is accurate (cross-checked against RR logs), and works well. We'll see how it's doing in a year, but no issues yet in the 6 months I've had it. The only complaint is the little touch controller is extremely sensitive. I would have preferred physical buttons. You only really need that for initially setting up the brightness and colors though, so most of the time it's tucked behind the gauge in the cup.

I have AEM gauges. They work great. Defi's are probably the best though. You will have to pay for them though.
I've had to uninstall/reinstall enough Prosport gauges being sent in for warranty work to say that you're a minorityOriginally Posted by Rambo
