whats up guys ... I have a 2013 wrx sedan ... has around 2k miles on it, has short throw shifter, and SPT cat back, I would like to mod it, I HAVE DONE QUITE A FEW RESEARCH... but I still want the car to be reliable so what I would like to do is THIS:
KILLER B HOLLY HEADER
PW TMIC
GS EBCS
INVIDIA V3 CATLESS DP
AEM CAI
FORGE BPV
DW 65C PUMP
ID 1000 CC INJECTORS
AND A GOOD TUNE FOR E85
I WOULD LIKE TO DO THIS TO INCREASE HP AND STILL KEEP IT REALIABLE... WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK???
I WAS ALSO THINKING ABOUT GETTING AN ACT CLUTH AND FLYWHEEL
LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK PLEASE... AND THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

A lot of engine mods and no mention of suspension/braking modifications... with increased HP you need to balance with proper turning/stopping. Nix the header and spend the cash on suspension.
Also, since you aren't capitalizing on Cobb's pre-programmed tunes, I'd suggest you purchase a Tactrix OP2.0 and an old dedicated laptop for map switching. Pocket the cash and spend the remainder on Braking mods.

I'd not go E85 alone but if availability and price make sense to you locally, have at it. I'd do it among the last things personally, not first.

Zax nailed it.
Simple braking upgrades such as better pads, stainless lines, and fluid upgrade will work wonders and also not cost a ton.
Get a tuner on board and discuss with him to make sure he's in agreement with the mods you chose. Some tuners don't like some mods such as injectors, pumps, and so on. Also find out the tuner's preferred method for tuning.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR UR HELP GUYS..... JUST SO I CAN UNDERSTAND ... WHY WOULDN'T YOU GUYS GET THE HOLLY HEADER IF THE TORQUE GAINS ARE GOOD ??? ... AND ALSO WHAT KIND OF SUSPENSION AND BRAKING MODS SHOULD I GET AS WELL??? TO BE HONEST THE CAR JUST THE WAY IT IS DRIVES PERFECT
If the car drives perfect, then why do you want to mod it?
You should mod your keyboard's cap locks button though
I just suggested braking mods above. But the Holly Headers are just expensive compared to the gains you're gonna get at the step above Stage 2 mods you're going to be doing. I imagine a better gain in the midrange, but you probably won't see too much down low or overall since the stock headers aren't a major weak point.
Suspension, consider stiffer springs (and accompanying struts to handle them as springs usually have a .5-1inch drop or so). Sway bars and endlinks are also great basic upgrades at this level.

yeah i dont plan to get a better clutch till the stock one goes out. most those mods seem good, dont know much about the headers though. suspension mods would be good, but i did power mods before suspension

RCE Blacks or Yellows...Tokico or KYB AGX struts, or Koni inserts.
Hawk HPS pads, Motul or ATE fluid.
Kartboy endlinks, Whiteline swaybars.
Brushing is for hair and teeth. Bushings...yes. Replace all the bushings you see fit with Urethane ones. TiC, Kartboy, etc. make good ones.

A good set of headers will allow for quite a bit more power while maintaining a comparable safety level vs the stock manifold. You should be able to run 2+° more timing with a "good ELH" (KBM fits into that description).
I'm not a fan of E85 for a DD. Anytime you're not in need of the extra octane, you're pissing money away. This is why I'm such a proponent of methanol injection. Pump gas when you need it, race gas when you need it.Originally Posted by SD_GR
