Did you notice your temps down after installing both? Also, the issue i've read is that a turbo blanket will take away from the turbo life. No?

Turbos are cheap enough. Especially with a TMIC car, a turbo blanket is worth any reliability issues you may encounter. With a FMIC car, it's a bit less of an issue, but I'd have no hesitation putting one on my car...

Lower temps isn't really the point.. the performance to be had is mainly from retaining higher temperature within the exhaust and turbine housing. Keeping the heat in the exhaust and housing preturbo maintains exhaust gas velocity, which spins the turbo.

I've never heard of reliability concerns with using a turbo blanket. I would think if anything it would improve reliability because it will extend the cooling period for the turbo. Quick, drastic temperature fluctuations are detrimental to turbo life (and pretty much any material).
