Congrats Mike!
Anyone know what sorts of proven gains this can get on a 3rd gen?

So yesturday I installed and reflashed the car for the COBB SF intake and airbox. WOW what a difference. The BPV now has a sort of BOV sound to it, to satisfy those who enjoy that sound, but not too overpowering to be un-enjoyable for those who don't. I love how it hisses when boosting, and it now boosts alot quicker. Deff. worth the price. Ill soon be writing a build log.
Congrats Mike!

I have a Cobb SF as well that I bought off of Zax for my 05 STI. Definitely made the spool and blow off much more audible over stock. I too love it.

Always dirty, never scurred......
I'm happy I made the purchase. I just got back from a road trip to vermont, on the way there I had the gauge for Intake Temp up on the accessport for a little bit, and I remember It was only about 4-5 degrees more then what the temp outside was. If I can recall correctly the stock intake was about 10-20 degrees over outside temp.
I'd reconsider your choice of tuners...you live in NJ, and have access to a bunch of other shops. Personally, I'd look into John Shafer @ Akuma Motorsports, instead.Originally Posted by Mike193

Only reason I am interested in CBRD is because a buddy of mine (the vendor I've made all my purchases from) had his '05 STi and '11 Evo tuned there and said it was one of the cleanest shops he's ever been to and he was very impressed.
I will look into Akuma. Thank you for your input, any other suggestions?
You are in North Jersey....so a trip to EFI isn't out of the question either in Conn.
